I have an iPhone but don’t really use it to entertain my kids during dinner. No judgement here. I totally understand that sometimes it’s the only thing that will keep that kid in place for the extra minutes you need to finish your meal, talk to your friends, have a conversation that doesn’t involve diapers or sleep or pre-school. In our family, we engage with our kids as long as we can with conversation and whatever toys we have on us then we book it out before a disaster happens. What do *you* think? What are the benefits and drawbacks of using that smartphone during dinner?

Remember all those amazing firework photos of the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge we saw a couple weeks ago?
This is not one of them. I was at home watching the kids and trying to make sure they didn’t wake up from the noise. We live really close and it was really loud. I snuck up to the roof to grab this from my house.

Having kids is always this balance between wanting them to grow up faster and wanting them to slow down so they don’t grow up too fast. I’m trying my best to live each moment as it comes.
But, please, can we just finish walking down this block?
