It’s always fun to see which genetic traits are passed down to your kids. Mom’s eyes, dad’s nose… etc. But there is one thing both my kids have that is not from me.

Part of my wife’s birthday was this walk into the Presidio with the kids. With the light filtering in through the trees I had to wait for the perfect time when both of them were illuminated evenly. It looks so peaceful and serene.

What you don’t see (or hear) is 2 minutes earlier both kids were wielding giant branches yelling about hitting and killing and death. Ah… parenthood.
